Today our church held a Service of the Word for Healing. The scriptures (James 5:13-16, Ps. 96, Ps 34:4, ICor 12 & 13, Jer. 1:4-10), prayers, hymns, message, anointing with oil, laying on of hands all gave us assurance of God's awesome power and His everpresent presence in our lives. How comforting and overwhelming it was to be among our dear friends and hear so many encouraging words. We will go confidently into our week of testing with words from sister, Mary Ann's, 70th reunion devotion...echoing"I am trusting Thee Lord Jesus." We spent a wonderful weekend with Gary's brother, Roger, his wife, Sandra, Grandma and Julie's family gathering together. What fun family times!! We are sorry to miss our family time in TX to celebrate Lauren's 5th birthday (2/1)...as we had to postpone our trip for now. We are so blessed.

  1. What a wonderful service that must have been! I would love to have been there. I have been anointed with oil by my elders and prayed for and anointed by many others. Isn't it wonderful to stand with so many believing with us and hearing God's promises over and over again. We both have big weeks ahead. You will be in my thoughts and prayers as I sit in offices, etc. Love you dear Carol Lynn. Be strong in the Lord and the power of His might!
